THE OLD ONE HAD 12 SPIKES ON IT HAS NOW CHANGED TO ONE WITH 6 SPIKES ON

The old one was over engineered with too much metal too close together.

As you can see the veins are very close together in the original and if you get carbon build up on the catalyser
it blocks between the older ones veins and then these areas super heat and burn out.
This newer catalyser will still effectively vaporise the oil but will last longer.
