Hardi Solenoid Fuel Pump
Solenoid Fuel Pumps have been used on a variety of vehicles since the early 1950’s.
To those of us who can remember the continuous rattle of the fuel pump signified impending doom as the engine on your van spluttered to a halt usually miles and miles from the nearest filling station.
Upon return to your stranded and depressed vehicle, the life giving fuel is administered and the continuous clicking returns to the immensely satisfying occasional click, click, as the pump brings the vehicle back to life and once more you are able to continue on your travels with a degree of elation hard to equal!!!
The good old days are long gone but not so the solenoid fuel pump, it survives in excellent form and is manufactured by the German company “Hardi” complete with all the inherent reliability of German engineering.
The pump embodies a metal body making it compatible with the safety requirements of the Boat safety Scheme which calls for pumps of this type to be metal bodied.
The pump is designed to shut off when confronted with a suitable back pressure which is normally what most float chamber needle valves can generate and so the pump gently clicks away until the float chamber is full and then shuts down at the design back pressure.
Hardi 9912 pumps can reliably deliver up to 108 lts (24gallons) per hour and so are suitable for wide range of vehicles and differing applications.
